Doyle E. Jones

Doyle is an inactive CPA and a retired partner of Ernst & Young having worked in Management Consulting in the Memphis, Kansas City and Detroit offices in the United States. He also served as Director of Management Consulting for Continental Europe and as Director of Finance and Administration (CFO) of that practice.

He took early retirement in 1992 and, along with a partner, started a technology company furnishing software for the operation of service companies in the automotive industry. Customers included chains of tire, muffler and brake stores. The company was sold to an international company in 2013.

Doyle has a BBA and MBA from the University of Memphis and took post masters work in accounting at Miami University.

Mike Johnson

Michael is a Shareholder and Chair of Maynard Cooper’s Corporate Securities and Tax Practice Group. He has over 20 years of experience advising companies and their boards of directors in mergers, acquisitions, strategic alliances, private equity transactions, corporate governance issues, and intellectual property transfers. He represents clients on both the sale-side and buy-side of transactions, many of which involve middle market companies and deals ranging from $10 Million to $1 Billion.

Michael’s clients span a broad range of industries, having a particular concentration in the biotechnology, digital, aerospace, and defense markets. With his expansive industry knowledge and diverse client base, Michael is frequently handling cross-border issues related to mergers, acquisitions, defense and aerospace industry requirements, and the transfer and licensing of intellectual property, as well as other types of business matters. He has experience advising companies and individuals on federal, state, and local tax issues, and small business owners on business succession issues, including the structuring and financing of employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs).

Michael received his LL.M. from Boston University, and he holds a J.D. from Cumberland School of Law (Samford University) and a B.A. from the University of the South (Sewanee).
